Pastor LaCarlton Darnell Stephens is a native of Livingston, Texas where he was raised in a Christian love by his father and mother Reverend and Mrs. Marvin P. Stephens, and was an active member of Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Marston, TX and served faithfully in the youth department. At an early age of nine, Pastor Stephens confessed his call to ministry.  In January 1991, Pastor Stephens was licensed to the ministry under the leadership of his father and was ordained in the ministry in March 2001.  He attended and graduated from Open Door Christian Academy in May 2001 where he was an honor student and accepted a leadership role as President of Student Association. During this time, he received many honors such as Outstanding Christian Award in 2000. In July 2001, Pastor Stephens was installed as the Pastor of Lone Star Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, Texas where he served from July 2001 - February 2005.  At this time, Pastor Stephens was active in the community working faithfully with Brothers Battling Against Drugs Organization in Nacogdoches, TX. In the year of 2005, Pastor Stephens relocated to San Antonio, TX where he united with Mt. Sinai Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. L.H. Mills. Pastor Stephens served as the minister of Growth & Evangelism at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church until he was called to be the Pastor at Coliseum Park Baptist Church.
